He's cute, but he looks a little bit dehydrated, I can see folds of skin on his side. Is that just the picture?

    Re: my new friend

the fold on his neck is normal but the folding on his sides is a little odd. i'm not sure if it's dehydration or not--he doesn't appear malnurished or anything. maybe give him a 10 minute or so soak in some lukewarm water and see if that helps. do his eyes appear sunken in at all?

    Re: my new friend

if hes just standing on the ground those "folds of skin" arent there, i think it was just because of the way he was standing against the glass

that's possible--that it's just the way he is stretched up. i was thinking of getting out my leo and holding him in different positions to see if his skin did something similar but he's all asleep so i figured i wouldn't annoy him at the moment.

He does look dehydrated and fairly underweight. He will have a much better chance at improving his condition if you rethink your substrate choice, as mentioned in the other thread. I wish you the best of luck with your new addition though!
