    follicles?

In one of my females that's been looking up with my pastel, I can feel balls inside of her that are about the size of a large shooter marble. Is this a good sign?

Sounds like it to me. Is she noticeably swelled yet? Any other things you have noticed like coloring changes or seeking the cool end?

She definately frequents the cool side, and she has actually started "glowing" definately. I will get a pic sometime tonight..

    Re: follicles?

We have a female that just went through the "glow" and cool end/bowl wrapping. She shed last week and then made a beeline for the warm side. I don't have much experience to speak from, but our female that already laid eggs went through all the same "stages". It just seemed really slow and drawn out. I don't think I really noticed all the behavior the first time, but now seeing it in a second and third female, it seems more obvious.

I am hoping for you !!!!!!

    Re: follicles?

So, by feeling these, can I expect that one of their lockups has taken?

    Re: follicles?

From what Adam has told me, don't count on anything until you see an ovulation. And even then the eggs could be infertile.

I would think if you could feel good sized follicles she may be to the point that she is going to eventually ovulate, but I would keep pairing them up until you see the ovulation.

    Re: follicles?

I put him back in with her today, and they are locked up right now. I am actually pretty proud to say, I know what an ovulation looks like, and she is definately not there yet..

    Re: follicles?

    Jen,
That is a really good sign of an impending ovulation. However, as Neil pointed out, until you have fertile eggs in the incubator, anything can happen. I don't want to get you down, but females can grow follicles to that size and reabsorb them. Therefore, just because her follicles have grown to that size, it is no sure sign that she will "take". Back to the positive. It is definitely a good sign, and I would start looking for that ovulation sometime in the next 10 - 14 days.
    Congrats,
