My boy and a Q?
Here is a couple of pics of my boy he is about a year old. Question about some markings. He has some white scales on his side surrounded by some black ones.
here are the white scales. Is this a possible pied trait?
Btw sorry for the bad pics. Taken with a camera phone.

0.0.1 Blood Python- Nevaeh
1.0 Columbian RTB- unnamed
0.1 Crested Geckos- Megs
Soon to own more of each. (hopefully)

Was he ever wounded there? Looks like a scratch that healed or something. If not I wouldn't think those were normal bp markers, probably not pied either though. Breeding would be the only way to find out.

mine has the same kind of markings on her sides,and other places, its just a regular bp marking from what i see.

It's very hard to tell from pictures sometimes - here is a picture of the healed scars on my male ( he got very badly burnt as a hatchling apparently) some of them have white patches and some black.
The main clue that they are scars is the irregular shape of the scales.
The other big problem is the variability of the pattern on these snakes.
Makes keeping and breeding them a joy but identifying hidden markers a nightmare.
