I took a ride to the swamp today....(DUW)

They let us off early today at work...and a cold front is going to ruin my wonderful herping weather this weekend....so I went walking a few trails today

Two shots of the classic Honey Island Swamp. I snapped these off the side of a trail




When I was riding down the road a few hogs ran out in front of my truck. I stopped the truck to snap a few pics....then these little stragglers came scurrying out They were cuties..


And finally...my first snake shots of the year(but not the first snake sightings though ). A great looking little eastern ribbon snake.
