    Suggestion please....

My son's birthday is coming up and we've been struggling w/an idea for a 'special' gift. Tonight he was asking for a lizard - he said leopard gecko but I know that I can convince him otherwise. Anyway - I am looking for any and all suggestions. We already have a ball python, bearded dragon and leopard gecko so I'm familiar w/reptile care or know where to go to become familiar. I know that even though this would be 'his' pet (he's going to be 4 btw)I would be responsible for it (just in case anyone was concerned). I have a 10 gallon tank w/an UTH that is currently not being used. I want something that can go in his room so it can't want/need lots of activity around it, will not outgrow the 10 gal tank and will tolerate occasional handling (by him and me). If it matters I was planning on going up to NERD in NH for the animal. TIA!

A leo would be a great choice, if you dont want a leo, you could also looking into a african fat tail gecko.

I think a leopard gecko would be a good choice. Crested geckos are a bit jumpy for a four year old, but still not a bad idea. They require more vertical space, but do not usually require any additional heating as long as your room stays between 68-80.
