"I feed him a small rat every 2 weeks"...

MY :cens0r: !!!!! I inquired about this "female" - and he sent me pics. It looked so freakin skinny I had to make the 2 + hour drive to go get it. Probed it, def. all boy. It was whatever at this point, the poor thing is just skin and bones, and bearly has the energy to move. No RI or mites, which is good. Hopefully I can save this poor guy and get it back up to healthy so I can find him a good forever home.

I dont know if you can tell how skinny he is in the pics - you can kind of see his triangular shape.

this stuff just makes me so mad. I really dont understand the world.

A true small rat every two weeks would be more than enough to keep a male at a good weight...so chances are that was a lie.

Good job on the rescue, and if its any consolation, I've seen a lot worse. Good luck with him!

Poor snake; are you sure they didn't mean every two months? Or eons? At any rate, it's great that you've got him now and can give him the right kind of life.. awesome!

If the guy is telling the truth, then the snake might have parasites ... which could be inhibiting the snake from growing fat.

Definitely a candidate for a fecal and good quarantine. Glad you've got him now and can get him on a steady feeding routine with good husbandry. That's likely take care of his problems as long as there's no underlying health issues.

    Good point
I would keep him on strict quarantine and like Jo said, get a fecal ran on him.. glad again that you found him.
