Look at those white markings! I have to ask...what camera are you using. Your close up/macro work is just so nice.

Thank you ! I use a Canon EOS 30 Digital ( think you guys call it Canon Rebel ? )

Stock lens is err ....well its not very good . I prefer using the 28 -105mm Ultarsonic Zoom , combined with an extension ring . Gets there for me . I have some nice pics of my BRB ...need to post them soon . Another example of Macro work below ...

Beautiful King you got there and quality pics. Are you sure it's an Eastern, it's markings are more akin to a desert king (L.g. splendida). Don't mean to question your integrity, just curious

Good Q that !! It does indeed look more splendida than getula ....but here's the rub the snake is almost six foot long !!! Been annoying me for ages this ....one day Desert ....next Eastern / Chain !!!

Just noticed your location Bud ( Happy St Pats ) weirdly enuff the snake in question here originated from Ireland ...first owner.... then I bought from his mate

Cheers pal, St.Paddys is just another excuse to go out and get blocked but saying that we don't need a reason for a party. Even some funerals over here turn into two-three day drinking sessions. Being a jock i'm sure you understand were i'm coming from lol. Back to the snake if it is a splendida, its a mighty big one. If its a getula, its doing a good job of looking like a splendida. Suppose you can't be sure unless you know the parentage
