    How often

How often do baby leos shed? I read on another forum, someone said their baby was shedding once a week. Is that normal?

Oh, and by the way - I am TOO in love with this wee one - I definitely have leo love!

    Re: How often

Well, I haven't had in hatchlings in a while, but if I rememeber correctly they shed around every 2-4 weeks depeding on how much they're eating. Remember though, they eat their shed so unless you catch them in the act (or see the major color change), then you may not know if they have even shed.

    Leos are awesome, aren't they!!

    Re: How often

once a week is a lot, but it is highly variable. your new girl should probably be shedding at least once per month right now. it is easier with leos than with cresteds to tell when they are going to shed because they usually do look "in shed" for a day or two before they shed--their skin looks dull and more whitish and you can see that the old dry skin is starting to separate from the new skin underneath.

    Re: How often

I've had my leo for almost a month. I havn't seen him shed yet but I'm guessing he has at least once. I have seen him looking kind of "powdery" looking so that was probably him getting ready to shed.
