    AAR clutch #1 for 2007

Here are a few pics from our first clutch of the year. These little ones started coming out of the eggs this morning. This clutch came from breeding a male coastal jaguar that was also a genetic red to a nice normal coastal female. So, you can see below red jags, normal jags, red jag sibs, and normal jag sibs. Still have about 14 more to come out, but here are a few shots for now.

    Red jag and normal sib

Group with a couple red jags, red sib, and normal sib.

Red jags, normal jag, red sib, and normal sib

    Same as above zoomed out.

Awesome clutch!!! I really think that the red jags will stand out from the others as they mature.

Congrats guys!! I've been waiting to see these guys hatch for while now. Be sure to set aside a killer looking male for us . How do the ratios look so far?

Re: AAR clutch #1 for 2007

So far here are the numbers I have:

    33 eggs
    4 infertile
    2 dead in egg

So, 27 good eggs with live babies, out of these it looks like we'll get:

16 jags (one set of twins)
13 sibs (one set of twins)

I haven't counted up which ones are reds yet because 10 are still in the egg. Once they are all out I will get a count on the reds as well. But, jagwise we did alright

    CONGRATULATIONS!!!

Yours is the first clutch of '07 I have heard about, clapping! It's also the first time I have heard of 2 sets of twins in 1 clutch. What are the odds I wonder.

How's the progress on your other females especially the Jungles studded by Skunk (/Opel)?

    Charlie
