    no teeth?

I saw an episode of crocodile hunter today and steve said that all colubrids are non-venomous and have no fangs to bite with. Then Teri said later when she found another snake "This snake is non-venomous but like all snakes they have teeth and can bite." Can someone please clarify this for me? Thanks!

ALL snakes do have teeth, but ONLY VENOMOUS snakes have fangs.

    Re: no teeth?

Here's a nice little article on snake info. Check under "Skeleton and Teeth" to read how snakes have three types of dentition.
