Re: Viper gecko help
i don't own any viper geckos currently but have researched them in the past as i am interested in possibly owning a few at some point. supplemental lighting is not necessary for vipers as they are nocturnal geckos. for heat, flexwatt heat tape controlled by a thermostat will work best. the hot side should be about 87-90 degrees, with ambient temps around 78-80 with a slight drop at night to 74-76 degrees.

I agree, I don't own them but would love to in the future. I do know someone who has them. She uses undertank heaters. Flexwatt would be even better. They are awesome little geckos and don't get very big. NOt many people have them though. I don't think that they are that popular yet. I read about them for sometime a while back. I just had to google them and I found some info on them. I would give you the link but I am on my laptop and don't have them right off hand.
EDIT: I also remember reading that they have a really high calcium requirement. Heavily dusting their feeders with calcium. I think that useing a high quality cricket gutload would be good though, then dusting with calcium. Its all in the gutload lol.
