    Is my Mali sick??????????????????

i noticed that my mali has yet to start eating regularily and will hide all day long and never move. everday he has done this. so today i take out the veggies from yesterday and replace them with new ones today. the usual routine and he is hiding as usual, so i pick up his hide and out he came super mad with his tail flinging around. when he settled down i noticed around his nostils has a white mucus like substance. i know that it was not there before and now i feel sorry for him i thought he was just mean. now im starting to to lean towards him being mean because he is sick. which obviously must be fixed. can anyone please advise me on what they think?

    thanx in advance

Find a good herp vet that is close to you and make an appointment for him. If there is mucous around his nose and in his mouth he may have a RI. Try to get him into the vet as soon as possible to confirm wether or not he is sick.

Get those temps up. 115-130 on the hot side down to the 90s on the cool side. The white stuff is just salt. No worries! Has it been particularly cool in the room where your uro is? Mine has barely eaten this winter or come out much since the temps have really dropped. They can sense the change in temps and barometric changes and will slow down on the eating and activity. Keep offering fresh vegetables and keep an eye on him for any decrease in weight or other signs of illness. Tail thrashing and skittish behavior is very common in uros that have not been tamed down (and some that have). They can sometimes have some attitude! They are also a lot of fun....

it is looking like salt discharge. temps are at 120 - 125 hot side and 90 - 95 on cool side. he very rarely comes out and very rarely eats but seems healthy.
