Python winds its way into animal shelter
This was in our local paper tonight. Article
It's too bad I'm not set up to house more than just my one little Ball right now. I know there's more out there that need good homes and I'm sure this guy/girl is a good one.

Re: Python winds its way into animal shelter
if the original owner wants the snake back... and can provide proper care... why not just let him have it?

I agree with you, but you know how Animal control is, they want to make sure that the animal will be completely 100% cared for. I think that's better for the animal.
This is just a small town paper and not too many people know about snakes (that I know of). You can see that they make a big deal about it not eating for a month, and no water for 4 days. I know it's not good for the animal, but it's not too bad for it either. Not to sound cruel, I would never do that to my snake, but it's not too bad a deal. I'm just glad that the lady called it in, rather than letting it die or letting it go outside.
