    Silver Rex

I had started working on a silver rex dumbo project, and while I was building up to that, a silver rex male popped out of a random coupling with a black rex dumbo and a siamese.

Not a dumbo, but once he grows up i should be able to produce an outbred silver rex dumbo pretty quickly, woo!

I wish I had pictures of my black rex dumbos, they are the nicest rats ever and fuzzy like sheep. Has anyone else noticed the easy temperments of dumbos?

Ack I'm green with jealousy! Lovely rat and a great start on your project. Who knew that breeding rats for food would lead so many of us to this side project of rat genetics.

    Nice American Blue

I have a registered/pedigreed silver blue/double blue dumbo girl and she's definitely not that color. She's lighter and her undercoat is white. It's weird and I'll try to get pictures.

Looks like your blacks or someone carries blue!

Yeah this one is darker than one from two blues would be, but with the rex fur it makes it look light/dappled white.
