    New gecko....and a question

Sorry no pics yet, I'll take some in a week after he/she is settled in. It is a baby only about as big as my finger in length. I'm putting a humid hide in its cage and was wondering if sphagnum moss would be safe to use. Do I need to worry about him eating it? and becoming impacted?

sphagnum moss should work just fine. as an alternative you can use damp paper towels. mist every few days to keep damp and replace every 2 weeks or so for cleanliness.

My gecko Sprocket loves his moss. He naps underneath it, bounces around on it and it's lovely to mist for humidity. I got a huge bag of it and just replace it regularily during normal cage cleaning.
