Gorgeous shots, Aric!! I adore Gaboons! They evoke such a strange mix of emotions in me every time I see them....they're the only snake that makes me seriously want to cuddle them, while at the same time, that thrill of sheer terror at the thought of those fangs and venom! Fabulous animals!!!

(and just for the record, I would NEVER dream of free-handling a gaboon, much less actually cuddling! LOL)

Thanks Judy, I know what you mean, everytime I seeone, I get this feeling like a 10 year old kid on a candy store and want to hold them. Then I relize the thought of 2" fangs in my skin and venom being pumped into my body, makes me want to use a BIG LONG hook to hold them instead of my bare hands.

Based on those pictures, I think I like the colors on the gaboon better than the rhino. The patterns on both is amazing to me!


My favorite hot has always been the king cobra though - there's just something about their intelligent looking eyes that just speaks to me!
