    Housing a Burmese Python

Can someone please give me an example of what to house an adult male burmese python in? Say I wanted to keep it in my bedroom... what type of enclosure would be suitable for a 14' burm? (links appreciated)

    Re: Housing a Burmese Python

i would say smallest you should go is a 8 foot long 2 foot deep 18 high .As for the type, there are many diffrent types of enclosures on the market that you can chose from .Or you can build your own as well. Not knowing how much space you have is kinda hard to say what is suitable. What you can do is move all your furniture to one side of the room and build a enclosure the size of the space left

For a male, that would work.

That would be awesome if you could pm that to me. I have a neighbor that come to this site whos husband builds enclosures... But I want to give him specifics not just dimensions. Thanks again for your help!

    Re: Housing a Burmese Python

all depends on your budget really
a 6 footer can be made out of some 1x2's and acouple of 2x4's
Along with tile board.Thats how i make them for the most part .
But you can go with a birch type wood and then seal it .
There are sooooo many ways to make one ,you really need to know where it's going and the room you have .Just make sure if you build it in the room that you can still take it out of there
