    Litter Quantity - Mice

I was just wondering what the average amount of babies a female mouse has and what is one the of largest litters recorded? I was quite shocked after counting a litter that my girl dropped yesterday. She had 17 babies!!! Ofcourse she looked so a boat before she dropped but still... that is a lot for one mouse.

Lab mice eh? That's cool. What about everyone else... what is the biggest litter one of your female mice have dropped?

Well I've never bred mice YET but from what I have observed, females average about 10-14 babies depending on the line of mice.
Swiss Websters are said to be some of the best breeding mice available.

Nice! There is a possibility that I have obtained a female that could be a little higher than par?

    Anyone else have high litters?

    Re: Litter Quantity - Mice

When I was breeding mice I was happy with litters in the teens generally 12-15, 15 being a great litter.
