    New little hopper..

I just got this guy from Ed (Thanks Ed!) He is a healthy, hoppy little guy; but luckily now he is relaxing in his tub, halfway buried in eco-earth.

I just had to take this shot.. Benny does NOT live in the same enclosure as Scooter.. Scoot would be a very quick, expensive snack if so.

Thanks! I usually adopt stricter quarantine procedures, but in cases where the seller (in this case, Ed) had the animal for awhile and it is healthy, I am not so strict.

Jen, just a little tip. Wash your frog before you show the world. HAHAHA

Take a good look at that one, I put about 40 of those babies together and picked out the pretty one for you.

Thanks; I am so touched that you handpicked him.. he has a really cool greenish hue that Benny does not have.. something different. You really can't see it in the pics though.. he is definately a robust little guy! I hate seeing them in pet stores when they are all malformed and half dead; this is definately a top notch one.
lol; the funny thing was, I did wash him! He got some of the Eco-Earth stuck on though for the pics.. they love the stuff, and it retains moisture without being soppy wet.
I am happy to say that he is happily about half-buried now.. now, what was he eating with you? I have given the smaller ones fish, crickets, or small mice (rat pups are too big.)

I am not sure; I am sure Ed could tell you though.
Benny, the big girl, let me think. We got her about halfway grown, in the year 2001. I would estimate her being a '99 tadpole, so that makes her a nice 7-8 years old. We thought she was a male, but she has outgrown the typical adult male size, and does not have the darker markings on the throat that males do.. but Benny is just Benny and we could never rename her.

Does that include the tadpole stage?
    (I know, 2000 questions, lol.)
