    Mrs. Frogs Christmas

So I went to get crickets for my geckos and low a behold the PetsMart had the C.A.R.A people there with the puppys and kittens and other rescue animals. There was a pair of Rottweiler pups there. . So for Christmas one of the wifes gifts is a pure bred Rotti male.. LOL .. I'll get pics up after the holidays

Cute! My cousin had a female Rottie for a few years. She got HUGE, as expected. He eventually gave her to a friend who lived on a farm because she lunged at his small daughter a few times. She was really a gentle giant most of the time, though. Dogs that big seem to forget that they're so big! Congrats and good luck with the puppy!

Our Rottie had passed this fall, but she was the biggest, loving dog I ever had. I am sure Mrs Frog will be very happy!

We saved a Rotti female from the pound a few years back. They make VERY loving additions to a family. We lost our girl 2yrs back .Seems Rotts have a sezioure problems just like German Shepards have hip problems.I am not trying to scare you just letting you know of the possibility,i wish someone would have told us so we could have done something sooner.

    Re: Mrs. Frogs Christmas

Rotties make great pets and are like very very very large lap dogs. I had a male rottie for about 6-7 years. He was a baby. Every morning, my mother would wake me up by opening my bedroom door and saying "Broc, get her up." Broc would then come running into my room, jump into my bed and push me out of it so he could take over the bed. He weighed around 175 lbs.

Here's a few bits of advice.

Never feed them spagetti. They'll sling it everywhere!
Rottwieler poots are toxic. Open ALL windows in order to remain safe.
Rottwielers are lapdogs, no matter how big they get.
Never let a rottwieler pull you on a sled or skates. You're in for a world of hurt.
    They always win tug-a-war.

Hope you guys enjoy your rottie.
