    .4 Kg = 400 grams?

got a question.. I just found a digital scale in my house that measures kilograms to the 10th, like 4.3 kg's. I think for now this should be good enough to weigh my buddy. Now, how do you convert kg's into grams? isnt it just 1000 grams per kg? so .4 kg's would be 400 grams? cause thats how much monty weighs! looking at some other people's weights here, it looks like my monty is very small, i guess pretty young? I don't know his age, but hes approx. 29 inches and 400 grams. Does that sound right??? lol need some help here!

.4 KG is 400 grams thats four tenths of 1000.

    Hope this helps.

yep you got it. one kilo = 1000, so kilogram is 1000 grams

    4/10 =400/1000 or .4 kg

For future reference, you can always ask google to convert measurements for you. Simply do a search for the conversion, for example:

    400 grams in kilograms
    30 ounces in pounds
    94 fahrenheit in celsius

    Cheers!

    Re: .4 Kg = 400 grams?

The main question was a 29" BP, which weighs only 400 gms about right.

Firtsly I would check accuracy of your scale. Take a few tins of beans of known weight and weigh them. If your scale is about right... good.

If in fact Buddy does only weigh 400gms, next question is how old is he?. I would think he should be closer to 700 gms for that length, but them I have not kept many BP's. so maybe other input on this subject will be enlightening.
