Nice group you have there. Are you considering any combos?

Re: future breeder females
thanks i'm actually hoping to be producing some dumbo rex's once these girls are big enough to breed . my rex male is the product of a rex male and a dumbo female so hopefully ..... i also have a dumbo male that i'm raising up to put with a few rex females . i was looking into breeding some hairless , but decided against it . i'd realy like to get some blues to add to my colonies , i just havent had time to go out looking for any yet .
breeding rats for me is as interesting and fun as keeping and breeding my snakes . i look forward to seeing the pinks born and watching them grow and show their colors .

Re: future breeder females
I think it's so cool that many of us that are breeding for feeders are so into all the rat combinations and genetics stuff. I really thought I was the only one who was kind of goofy over my feeder/breeder rat colony LOL. Well I figure, if I'm going to breed rodents...I may as well breeding nice looking ones! Those are certainly so lovely looking future rat mommas you have there!

Re: future breeder females
thanks . i figure breeding for the different genetics is so much more interesting than just plain ole pink eyed white rats . its cool to see what is produced by mixing the differemt colors , patterns and physical characteristics of rats . its just something i've come to enjoy .

Re: future breeder females
Completely agree with you. I just never could get into the typical albino lab rat sort of rat. Something about them sort of creeps me out LOL. As well the only albinos I've used have tended to be very overprotective of their litters and quite nippy with me. Good breeders, big litters and good mothers but a bit more hassle than I find worth it, for me anyways.
