Need Antaresia info

Does anyone know of a website that catalogs the differences between the Childrens, Spotteds and Stimsons. (No I'm not overly interested in the Anthills) I'm really looking for a side by side comparison of the adults with pictures. I also would like to figure out how many different variations there are .... such as Cape York, granite, and who know what else I've missed. I just can't find that much info out there on these little guys, and I know several people here keep them so I hoped you could point me in the right direction.

macolosa-maxes out at about 5 foot. largest of antaresia species. im not very familier with morphs and varients but there arent to many(red phase granite)\

childreni-2nd smallest antaresia and maxes at about 3 foot(my largest is 3 foot 2 inch) again to to many varients. be aware that many "childrens pythons" are hybrids between childrens and spotteds which will exceed 3 foot.

stimsoni- not to common in the industry. im not aware of any varients. i deal with these the least out of any antaresia.

i wont discuss anthills as you dont want them

It's really an informative little book. Covers not only Childrens but the others as well (Anthill, Spotteds).
Goes into where they are found, how to ID them, maintaining them in captivity, breeding them, and some nice color photos of various species.
I picked it up about a year, maybe year and a half ago when it first came out.
Well worth the $10 price.

can anyone help with temps/humidity for the childrens? I have seen conflicting numbers. is 90 too hot? i have a tank i was setting up for a ball but i saw a childrens and would like to get it. if i keep the temps in the 85-75 range and not worry about the humidity so much does that work for a childrens? ANy help would be great.

Yes, those caresheets are pretty conflicting aren't they? We're getting a spotted in a few weeks (or less ) and I even found one that suggested up to 100 degrees :eek: Humidity too - most say high humidity not required whereas one does ...

The range you said (75-85) is what Joe Pythons recommended to me

I keep mine in tubs with the hot side at 88 and room temp in there for the front part run about 75.
