Forgot to shed?!
Hi again everyone!
Some of you will already know that I got a Taiwan beauty snake a week ago. Well...when I got her she was very blaitently in shed, grey skin, blue eyes etc etc. This was last friday, and by saturday evening she had cleared. In my experience with corns and BPs I've always had snakes shed within about 48hrs of clearing, but my beautys been 5 days now and still no shed!! Humidity is at ~77% and temps are PERFECT, and she just gulped down 2 chicks! Has she forgotten to shed?! Or do some snakes take longer with the whole process than others?
Any help of similar accounts with your own snakes will be very much appreciated!
Cheers,
SHOTTY!

The whole process can be quite variable. I expect you'll see that shed very soon.

Re: Forgot to shed?!
Finally, 9 days after clearing from blue she shed!! Ive never known a snake to take longer than about 5-6days! The shed was a one-piece perfect shed, and measured about 6.5feet!! Couldn't believe the size of it! The rate that Ive heard beautys grow at, it shouldnt be long until I see another skin, probably about 7 feet next time!!

Re: Forgot to shed?!
Yup, varies with every snake! My beauties seem to take longer than the rest of the crew... except for Irwin the rubber boa who hasn't shed yet for us even once! And he's just a baby who we've had for around 2 months... I'm starting to think he's forgotten to shed!
