Does this put off a "bad vibe"?

In one of my classes, i was asked to come up with a logo for myself or a company. As I was looking for inspiration, the word "mindless designs" came up...and here's the logo I came up with for the company.

I think the logo is awesome. It simple. it's easily remembered. you know what's going on when you look at it. i love it.

but would you give your trust and money to a company that has the word "mindless" in it? it's completely contradictory do what graphic designers really do, which is be creative and use their imagination every single day.

Would the word "Mindless" give you a bad vibe? or give you an uneasy feeling about working with that company?

Or am I over exaggerating it...it's just a name right?

I guess that depends on what your company does and who your focus group is.

If you make clothing logos or something--that logo is perfect for the average college student's hoodie/t-shirts, etc. So if your target group is teenagers/college students/generally laid back people, you're golden.

If you're thinking of designing things for big, professional, corporate customers, it might give off a bad vibe to them.

To me personally, I think it's great. But I fall into that first category--being 21 and a college student

    Just my personal thoughts.

ditto that. that's why i dig it so much..but i totally see what you're saying about the young laid back group vs. older professional group.

I've worked with my share of "mindless" morons at all levels of the "ladder." So, I guess the name would be telling the customer the truth about the company, although be in a tongue in cheek manner. Well thought out piece...Brainless, clueless and headless come to "mind" as well.

It really depends what and who you are marketing. I run my own business and anything mindless usually means a mistake that cost me $. Unless you are after something that requires no mind participation like meditation or something I don't think it gives a positive vibe, but thats just me.Good luck with your project.

"Mindless" does have kind of a bad connotation, though I love the logo!

Hmm... I advise checking out like http://thesaurus.reference.com/ for words that have a similar "out there" meaning but in a more positive context. Most people associate mindless with stupid, and you don't want that! But something that would still go with that logo would be awesome.

Cool logo! I'd go with "Headstrong Design" and use a slogan like, "Don't lose your head over design work, we'll do that for you."

    Just a thought!
