One mean snake!!

I was out hunting and found one mean snake.

This thing could take a finger off!!!

It's a ground snake. atleast that what I've always called it. My Mom calls it a worm snake. They don't get much bigger than a worm.

it looks just like the brown snakes we have here... close relative to red belly snakes and somewhat close to garters as well. i'm in michigan, they're super common but i dont know their range or if that's the same thing. i love the things though, they eat slugs and earth worms and are super easy to keep and breed if you were ever so inclined.

My husband found a lil guy like that in our backyard last fall when he was raking leaves. I put him in an aquarium just to snap a few pics and then Jeff took him out further into our woods and released him. He was a fiesty lil thing! lol.
