    Front Yard Wonder

Early this morning when we were leaving to take the kids to school.....the morning sun was shining across the surface of our front yard. Something glimmered and caught my eye, so I stopped and looked.....and looked......little shimmering glimmers all across the dark red landscape gravel that covers the front yard. Infinitely fine strands of sparkling light crisscrossed over the entire front yard! All but invisible except for the betrayal of the sun's rays.

It was breathtakingly beautiful...ethereal and magical....and so fleeting as the sun rose higher and ceased to play with the invisible threads.....

What no pictures?! Judy, you know better!

I'm in the cold north, we don't see beautiful sunrises much anymore up here!

hehe....believe me Jason, if I could have captured it in a picture, I would have. But the webbing was SO fine....and spread over such a huge area, you could only see little pieces of it at a time, wherever the beams of sunlight were falling...and you had to either shift your eyes or wait for a tiny breeze to waft the strands to make them sparkle....they would have been invisible in still pictures.

So....I tried to paint a picture with words....

Sounds beautiful. Here in the Chicago area, we won't see anymore webs outside until spring.
