feeding
how do you guys thaw out in bulk? whats the quickest way?

I shouldn't be answering this because I don't thaw mice, but my freind leaves them to soak in lukewarm water. I would think you could do this with as many as you wanted..?

That's what I do also. Keeps them nice and warm when feeding comes around too.

Good question - I only feed live, I can't imagine having to thaw out as many rats or mice as I have to feed each week! :eek:

When I fed frozen, I just used the "mouse in a baggie in a bowl of hot water" trick. But that was for just one snake. I think, if I were going to have multiple frozen rodents to have to thaw, I would separate out the ones I needed to use for the next day's feeding....and put them in the refridgerator overnight so they could thaw completely, but still be kept cold enough to not get icky. Then on feeding day, I'd take them out and warm them under a heat lamp....maybe with a blast from a blowdryer to make sure they're warmed completely through.
