Bad Shed?

Is he having a bad shed? He has done nothing except for lay in his hide.

YES! They peal their skin off whith their mouth and then eat it as they are pealing it off. If I had to guess his humidity is to low and the skin is tearing in sheets like that off due to it drying out. Do you have a humid hide for him during this time? Also when he does finish sheding check his toes real good the skin can get stuck on them cause them to die and fall off.

No humid hide, but I've been spraying his daily with warm water.

Should I let him soak in some water now to help him out more?

You can try. Warm water and only just knee high in a flat dish. I offer mine a humid hide when he gets dusty looking. Nothing more than a tupaware container with the lid on and turned on its lid with a whole cut in the side just big enough to let him in and out and that reptile moss in it sprayed once a day to keep it moist.

you may want to leave the humid hide in all the time so your leo always has access to it since he is shedding badly. a tupperware container with a hole cut in it makes a great humid hide. you can also just use a folder papertowel as the substrate in it. just mist it every few days and replace every few weeks or so. also, make sure to place the humid hide over/under your heat source. a cold, wet leo is not a happy gecko!
