Yup; a tough life We adopted him about 3 years ago, as an already 7-yr. old former stray. He had a tattoo IDing him and the person who owned his said, oh just put him up for adoption. He has to be about 11 years old now; but he acts as playful as a kitten unbelievably, when he taps the catnip!
He isn't as cantankerous as he looks; he is actually very affectionate and loves people.. but HATES my sister for some reason; he literally hides under the bed whenever she's over; and she is not an animal hater or anything!

I grew up with a cat, his name was Inky.
He was all black except a patch of white on his chest.
Looks IDENTICAL to that cat, except he is 15? now and skinnying up, been a little sick lately.

Re: Inky the kitty!
WEIRD! I thought no one else had an Inky kitty. His name at the SPCA was Kazoo (yikes!) We sometimes call him that as a joke, an I swear he gets mad hearing it.. must remind him of a bad past. He will NOT eat people food either; you put a piece of chicken or prime rib near his face, he shuns it. He will eat tuna out of a can though, thinking it is canned cat food.

Re: Inky the kitty!
Oh he's a cutie Jen! We had a female cat for years that oddly enough shunned all fish type foods, whether meant for cats or perfectly lovely poached salmon we were having for dinner (she actually turned up her nose at lobster!). Pork chops though...man that kitty loved pork chops LOL. She'd actually run and hide on a kitchen chair and try to sneak a paw up on the table to hook herself a chop!

lol, that's funny Jo. You have to love cats for their strong individualism!
