    Question Calcium and vitamin questions...

I've read that you have to dust their food items with calcium, then I have also read that you can leave out a little bowl full of it and they will eat it as needed?

Also I was in a pet store today look at their reptile things. Do I need to dust their food items with vitamins also along with the calcium?

I'm a bit confused, but I'd like to get it all straighted out and set up right before possibly going out this weekend looking at Leo's at a reptile show.

I havent had much luck leaving it in there. It clumps up with me and gets all nasty lookin. I dust the crickets and meal worms when i feed our leo's.

    Thank you

Do you use both Vit's & Cal or do they just need the Cal?

I use both. I mix them in equal parts in a small gladware bowl. Then put the crickets or meal worms in the bowl and shake em around. One problem with crickets is that they will knock the dust off pretty quick, so you may want to feed the crickets off with tweezers if you're really concerned about getting the additives to the leo.

i heard you should only put one on at a time. so dust with calcium one time and vitamins the next.

They do say on the containers that they cant sell them mixed because of the processing for one would mess up the other or something like that, but if im not mistaken on the jars of the stuff it says to mix them together. I'll look monday.
