Cat Eyed Snake - New Addition #2

Ok as promised here is the other snake I picked up at the Texas Reptile Expo today. I picked up this little girl up from Dave Ford of "Dave's Corn's and Stuff". Dave is a somewhat excentric and unique individual but he has first class animals and is really a great guy. I have looked before but wanted to give him some business this time.

Daves father happens to be Dr. Neil Ford from UT Tyler who is one of the people who started me on my House Snake addiction.

Here she is and these are not the best pics because I wanted to get her settled in fast. That yellow color will intensify as she grows up. Tiny gal now when grown she will be about 3.5 feet and really cool. She is rear fanged and what you would call a "warm snake". Docile as can be though, and no danger unless you are dim enough to allow her to chew on you for a long time.

And so both the addiction and the family has grown yet again,

WOW!!! Your stock just went up several points in my books!

I got a Madagascarophis from Dave Ford several years ago...they are fantastic little snakes & one of many hardy, oft-overlooked species that are actually a joy to keep.

It's nice to see someone else turned on to these obscure ophidian gems.

    Great find!
