Smile Black Ratsnakes in the wild. my basement.

I was field herping this morming in my basement, dont laught. I live in an old farm house with woods all around me and you never know what will crawl out of the woods. the snakes that I have seen are Black rats, black racers, kingsnakes, hognose and pine snakes. fence swifts and blue tail skinks are also numerious. I keep my rodents in the basement and have a couple wild black ratsnakes that live there. they are not afraid of me because I feed them a couple of small rats whenever I see them and they are quite tame, but wild snakes. heres a couple pics.of the small male.hes about 32" long.

    ...waiting for his dinner!

Nice to know you've got a "neighborhood watch" to keep an eye out for any escaped ratters or mices...=)

That's awesome! If I lived in an old house in the country, I'd definitely encourage a wild (non-venomous) snake or two to take up residence!

Did you post about these guys when you first saw them? i remember a earlier thread about a couple of black rats in someones basement, and i was just wondering if it's two seperate cases, or just an update of sorts.
