    Question Tort?

Hey everyone!! I want to get a tortoise, but I live in an apartment, so he wouldn't be allowed any outside playtime. . . . Does anyone know of any torts that could be okay living in an apartment? I would supply proper lighting and all the other housing requirments. . . I would really love one. They are soooo cute. I have a red eared slider right now whose name is Squishey. I love him to bits, and he's really affectionate (in his own way) for a turtle. He really likes kisses. I was thinking of a hermans tort, but I want to know what your guys opinions are on housing a tortoise inside?

Russian torts stay small and Gofer torts also.

Here is a good link for the Russian

i am a reptile info junkey. you would be fine with a russian or greek inside. i love turts. i also have two res's. just as long as you have the proper lighting there is absolutly no reason you shouldnt be able to have one.

    Re: Tort?

No problem with proper lighting and a lrg. enough pen to get proper exercise. You wouldn,t want to keep one in a small glass tank. Check out all available torts in regard to adult size. Our torts. are anything but lazy. The one is constantly on the go. Also do a little research on their diet first. Very important for proper growth. We have a russian and a yellow foot inside. But the yellow foot requires much more space. Depends on how much room you have in your apartment. We love them so much.
