Now, I know my eyesight is terrible and not always to be trusted. But those guys look nice 'n furry to me. They look like little rex's to me. VERY cute...and nothing at all like the hairless babies I've seen.
Mighty cute, though!!!

lol Hairless rats start off fairly furry and lose it all over time. The curly hair is so cute though

Really? Very interesting. I've seen some in the pet store that were about that size, and they looked like shrivelled up old men. Poor little hairless things! How fast do they lose the hair once it starts to go? I think I'd be heartbroken to have such a pretty little rat turn into an old crone!
(And to all the hairless rat lovers...I don't mean any of that insultingly...I know they have just as much right to be loved and adored as all the cute critters out there! )

Haven't firgured it all out yet why they can loose hair one day and have some extra the next day. When I got my females at about small rat size, she was full of hair that was very short. Now she has a few random bands and blotches of hair that weren't there a week ago!

Those are rexes, not hairless. Hairless babies get fur(it is much thinner and breaks easily) and by the time they are 3 weeks old or so, it will start falling out. Especially with how their whiskers are, more kinky than curly. Hairless' whiskers look very curly, like you stuck your finger in a light socket, and they curl towards the nose. Those are rex whiskers and if you look, they have "old man" eyebrows. They're cute, but they're rex.
