AP racks new rounded corner design

I really like the new look with the rounded corners.

I just wish they offered white screws with the white racks.

Do they hold humidity. Oh yeah. A bit too much if you ask me. This is with no misting. Just putting in new cypress bale substrate. You can see the condensation on not only the tub but the the underside of the shelf above. Thankfully these are plastic and not MDF.

I have never seen this either.

This is the same material as my Natures Spirits racks only thicker and I changed out the substrate in those at the same time as I put it it in these and only the tubs got fogged.

I have to be really careful about making sure the substrate is very dry before putting it in one of these tubs.

The outside room humidity is 60. The inside of the tubs is "I don't know". The gauge doesn't go that high.

Do you have snakes in those yet? I wouldn't put any of my snakes in something that wet. Looks like a serious risk of scale rot or other ailments. Looks like you may need a LOT more holes in the tubs.

Not yet. Too wet so far.

There is only one snake in that rack and that is because the substrate was changed out last week and was dry already.

In your second to the last pic it sure looks like there's a ball in there. Be carefull with that, like JLC said simply adding some holes will help...or not spraying down your substrate so much if that is what was the case.

I had that problem when i used cypress; I just put it in a seperate rubberimaid, with no lid, for a few days until it dried out. I would mix it a few times a day; I guess maybe a fan would help too.

    Corkbark.
The tubs have the water dishes, hides, and substrate all set to go.

If you have not put some holes in the tubs yet, you really need to. It helps with cross ventalation and will keep the humidity from building up to too high of levels.
