They aren't big enough to feed off yet but in the next 2 weeks ill prob start trying to get my last couple mouse eaters switched over. I am prob going to keep a handful of females.

It's going to be a bit rough the first time Jamie. Just try to remember you raised these rats for a reason and you've given them a very high quality life while they existed in your care. They are rodents and are fulfilling their natural role as prey for your snakes...you are just really a small step in a process that is far older than our human emotions of attachment. It's not easy at first but personally I take great pride in providing these superior feeders. I know our snakes eat very well and I know that the rats in our colony are living a life far above what most rats experience so that gives me all the peace of mind I need. I also spoil our permanent breeder collection, giving them names and enjoying them so that I don't let myself get too attached to their offspring.
