    information on Mexican Black Kings

I currently have a corn snake and I'm looking to add a few new snakes to my current zoo of random animals.

I've been looking at pictures of Mexican Black Kings and find them to be very beautiful but I'm wondering how docile they are?

I've done my research as far as husbandry but I'd like info directly from people who have the snakes what they think about them.

Are females more nippy then males? ect.

I'm hoping to pick one up at the NARBC in Chicago next weekend along with a ball and possibly another corn.

My buddy has a pretty old male and he is fairly calm. He doesn't have much time to hold him anymore but when he handled him more often he was calm. Usually great eaters as well

I have a female MBK. Awesome animal. By far the most docile king I have (and I have 6 of them)

They stay smaller than most other colubrids.. slow growers too, and she always eats with gusto.

Gender has no effect on temperament.

    thanks for the info

I didn't think that gender would matter but I read somewhere that a person always had nippy females so I thought I'd ask.

well it looks like I'll be getting one next weekend =)
