Looking good. I love that 2nd picture, with him peeking out of your sleeve. They can be so adorable sometimes!

I don't think any BP is small enough to require pinkies (If you're talking about mouse pinkies). Try a small fuzzy mouse.

Re: He's back & doubled his weitht in 3 months !

When my male Bp was 3 months old he ate adult mice. When he was a hatchling I started him on large fuzzies (a bit old for being a fuzzy but a bit young for being a hopper) and after a few feedings on this I fed a few hoppers, then adult mice at 3 months old. Around 25-30inches in length he was on weanling rats. When he got to 30inches in length he was on small rats, and now alittle bigger than 5ft in length he is on 1 medium rat per week.
A weird thought past through my mind.
Just thinking if the Police Raided my home, they'd see a 14ft retic slithering around, a large redtailboa, a large Ball python who acts like a lap cat, and a corn snake who thinks he can make a nest out of my hair... and if they went inside my garage and checked inside my freezer... they'd find dead bodies.

    RIP Billy

    Hi There

Indeed I did have allot of trouble when I first got him. I left him a week to settle & after that he refused quite a few times. This is how I tackled it..

I waited untill I saw his little head poking out of his hide at night & defrosted the mouse.I heated the tip of the mouses nose with a hairdryer..(this probably sounds daft but really works) This will obviously bring the temp of the mouse up to entice him more. When the mouse was hot enough ( do not over heat, just so its a comfortable & substantial level of heat on your hand ) i quickly placed it in an empty toilet roll tube (really quickly as the mouse loses heat real quick!) & parked it so that the end of the tube was right infront of the entrance of his hide. I then left him for what seemed like the longest wait & after about 10 mins I went back in & it had gone !

He has eaten like a pig ever since ! Oh, apart from the time I tried switching him to rat pups.. I soon switched back as I just wanted to get him back into a good feeding routine.

I always use the hairdryer trick though, it works everytime.

He is such a plesure to own -

Good luck with the feeding hon
