    New Jungle Carpet....

Well we went to the reptile show today w/no intentions of getting a snake....maybe a hide....we walked out of there w/the cutest JCP! Just weighed him...only 17 grams! So we've got him squared away for the time being in a 10 gallon tank....just wanted to see if anyone can offer up any tips/suggestions, etc. on them. I will be sure to post a pic once he's had his week of "alone time".

    Congrats on the new addition!

They can be a bit nippy as babies but with time, will grow out of it.

This one is calm, cool and collected! At least for the time being! I can't get over how tiny he is......

the only 'tip' i can think of is make sure he's got something he can climb up on... they're quite arboreal when they're little. other than that they're super easy and the husbandry is pretty universal for lack of a better term.

Hey Ziggy, congrats. Let's see it post some pics. There are lots of care sheets available and most say very similar if not the same things. Here is a link from here Ball-Pythons.net http://www.ball-pythons.net/modules....warticle&id=17

Although I might add that if it's a baby keep the humidity closer to 60% and the ambient temps should be low 80f's mine are around 82f most of the time. Provide a perch, level might be best (mine didn't use a perch until I leveled it I used to have it half way up one side and bottomed out the other side) and I use Sterlite plastic bins I bought from Target for $3.00 each. I think they are 15qt.

Wow, 17g, that is pretty small. Has this little one eaten well for you yet? I sure hope so.
