Did you get it probed yet? Just curious. BTW, almost all carpets are nippy when young and insecure. Good luck with him!

Thanks everyone. No, he hasn't been probed yet. Hoping for female, but not important. I don't have any plans to breed. I only like the females because of their size. Had a chance to get a dynamite adult but was worried about temperment since he has been in the petshop for months. This one has been there probably less than a week.

Blu Mongoose, cute little guy. Where did you get him from a breeder or pet store? Let's see more pics, and larger...

Very pretty carpet you have there!

Hope you enjoy it as much as we have been ours - they are a tad nippy but excellent eaters. And I second the motion for mucho more pictures!

    Re: new carpet

Got him from a pet store. Have to go to work shortly, so will get pics later. He is so active. No problem eating. He's partial to fingers. They had a five yr. old yellow and black there. He was gorgeous. They allow so many people to handle him I was concerned he would be too stressed. At the prices they asked i didn't want to risk the health issues he could possibly have. I didn't know I was getting a snake there. My girlfriend took me , showed me the snakes and had me pick one for my birthday [in november]. She also bought him a nice locking 15 gal. setup. I'll let him relax this week. How long should he be in isolation? I normally keep them there 30 days.
