Reticulated Python

I was randomly taking pictures today and liked this one of our resident Reticulated python.
I haven't posted any pictures of her in quite some time.

Oh she's lovely Rusty. Is she a permanent resident or will she eventually be placed. I love hearing the stories behind your rescues both how you came to get them and where they end up when all is said and done.

I lub lub lub retics - but will have to (eventually) settle for a dwarf . . . . or hope the kids graduate and dont mind coming home to visit just to find their rooms house giant snakes . . .

She came from the Long Island Museum case. Although she was one of the refugees we received only after he was finally closed down. She has been with us about a year, and is just now showing her weight. She is eating rabbits and large rats like a champ. She has been placed available for adoption, but as with all retics that may come through here when we place them we are extremely particular. I have a feeling she will be with us for a good long while. We do not normally advertise them.
She is full of retic attitude and is not a friendly animal by any means. But we will continue to work with her as we have for the past year.
