Why would you suggest force feeding?

Relax, you have only had him for a week. He should be left alone for at least a week to acclimate to his new environment before trying to feed.

I wouldn't consider it a problem considering its been less than a week. Let it acclimate, get your temps right, put it in a quiet area. Does it have enough hides?

yes he does. he has a hide rock and he has sand which he can bury himself in. so if he doesnt eat by next week then should i be worried?

Worrying isn't going to make him eat. Let him get acclimated for a week. Then try to feed him in a darkened room inside his enclosure.
