I went to the petstore and...

    this followed me home!

This is not my first savanna at all, however, this is one is the healthiest I have come across in a long time. The pics were taken in his temp holding area while setting up his permanent enclosure (thankfully, I kept all the stuff from my first monitor). He is a tad bit snotty at the moment, but I would be too if I were put in a box and forced to ride someplace I was unfamiliar with. More pics to come when he is settled in his permanent enclosure in about a week or so.

He is a chunky fellow! The chunkiest, biggest beefiest monitor in the cage... and the most catching to the eye! The rest were really really dark in color, this guy is also in shed right now, so we will see what he looks like when he is done.

Wow Jeanne he's so gorgeous with that pretty pattern (okay he's a male....he's ummm handsome and studly and whatever...must not upset his monitor manliness LOL). Great find! Congrats on adding him to your growing collection!

I Love Him!! He is great and like everyone else said a FATTY BOY!!! I told Wolfy about my Savannah earlier today. I had to clean his cage today and handled him a bit longer than usual. They are so cool and their personalities are unbelievable.

Good Luck with the Fatty Boy!!

Re: I went to the petstore and...

Got up this AM, and gave him eggs, watched him eat, and decided to go and see if I could hand feed him at all. Yes, I knew I could get bit, but all is fair when dealing with a new monitor. TO my surprise, he actually ate from my hand without even attempting to bite me or be aggressive to me in any way.
