    Taylor, MI Show

Well I finally got to a herp show! Mike, myself, our son Mikey and a friend Ron were at the Taylor show today and it was really quite good. We got to meet up with Eugene (gncz73), his lovely and very preggie wife and their handsome son and Gene was nice enough to show up around as he's a regular at this show.

I got to see the following BP morphs for the first time - pastel (one particularily nice one of the BHB line and a few others), spider, lesser platty (omg gorgeous!), butter (drool!) and a fantastic pinstripe which the breeder was kind enough to let me hold (I nearly cried....geesh but it was sooooooo pretty!). Lots of other nice BP's as well as a good selection of various boa's and colubrids. The Hogg Island, Dumerils and Brazilian Rainbows were all gorgeous 06 babies and VERY hard to resist. Also lots of other creatures from rabbits, rats, spiders, turtles, and various lizards of all sorts.

Met Casey and Darla Hulse from http://www.nsreptiles.com Really nice folks! They were the ones that recently helped us by shipping the 6 ft plus BCI to Becky in Texas. Also met Matt from http://www.pangeareptile.com/id52.htm and Tony and Kari Collison from www.collisonzoo.com - all good folks. The guys from www.motorcitygeckos.com had some of the nicest and healthiest looking leopard and gargoyle geckos at the show and their juvenile male Blizzard Leopard Gecko was very hard to resist.

Excellent show and only $5.00 to get in so if you are anywhere near Taylor, MI I'd definitely recommend it.

I wanted to go so bad but, had to work. Glad to hear it was a good experience. WOW!! You got to hold a pinstripe. My favorite morph (for the time being). I'll go next time, for sure.

Well someday Mike and I are going to take Becky up on her offer to visit and try to get to one of the great Texas herp shows so hopefully we'd all meet up and have a great old time gabbing and drooling over snakes together LOL.

Oh and what a pinstripe it was, a real chunky monkey, obviously eating up a storm and just stunningly beautiful. I nearly fell over at the bumblebee though, now I know what Kara and Kev are so nuts about their bees....freaking unbelievably gorgeous!
