Re: Crickets
Christie, where do you do you get your gutload? I think i saw some at petco, I might go get it from there. Right now they have oatmeal to hold them over till I can get them good stuff, not that they probably care.

Re: Crickets
Carrots will work too in a pinch, plus they offer some moisture as well.
I get my gutload from petco. It's back by the reptile supplies and dry foods.

Re: Crickets
Crix will eat anything! When I had crix, they got left over salad, oat meal, gut load, left over gecko foods, etc. Just be sure not to leave alot of "wet type" foods like greens in there long enough for them to mold, thats a whole other problem you dont want to deal with.

Re: Crickets
i feed my crickets mixed greens, a slice of apple, a slice of potatoe, a carrot for moisture, vitamins, and minerall and for protein, fiber, etc. i feed fish food, crumpled bread, and cereal grains.
dont use dog or cat food because that has chemicals in it that aid with shedding fur and stuff thats not for herps.
i used to feed gutload from the stores but my crickets will eat everything else before eating the gutload and with the gutload i found more crickets died and their poop was unhealthy. i used that nature zone gutload stuff.

Re: Crickets
are they green? do they say nature zone on them? if so no. they're not any good.
if you want to use a gutload then use the one from www.cricketfood.com. its the best out there. if not i would just use fruits, veggies, fish food, crumpled bread, and cereal grains.
