Black Headed Python Pic From Breeder

The breeder for my future Black Headed Python emailed me some pictures and I'm going to be picking up this little guy in January (he won't even be hungry until Mid-September!).

*hint* He has one male left if anyone's interested.

My wife and I both just seem drawn to the black heads. Of course, this last weekend a friend had 2.2 woma babies that are eating well for sale. I really REALLY don't want to add antoher snake (on top of the BHP), BUUUUUT owning a woma and a bhp would be pretty sweet.

If I had money and space I would buy one or two of these. There is a reptile store here that has a pair of 10 footers for 12g.

The ones I've handled have been super mellow, not quite cold-ball-python slow but just super "gentle" and curious. The one's at the St. Louis Zoo will watch and track you as you cross in front of their enclosure.

As for their colors - the parents of my baby look pretty much like he does, the banding gets just a little less distinct along the back. Some others I've seen have almost a "dirty" back where it's just one long smudge.

The breeder has a hypo in his collection and is working on hypo babies.
