    Suriname Iguana?

I was recently given an iguana, and the guy who gave it to me called it a Suriname. Is there even any such thing as this?

Well Iguanas are pretty wide spread through South America and now even parts of the US. I'm guessing its a green iguana right? Probably just the area it originated from

Wow, thanks so much... I will take a couple photos of him/her ASAP... I haven't even gotten it set up where I want yet. Did you find the info online? If so could you link me?

    Re: Suriname Iguana?

Oh man I just cleaned that iguana's old undersized cage out and the Reptibark was stuck to the bottom from mold... The guy I got it from said that when he bought it he wasn't aware that it would grow to be 6 feet, but that it was just a "regular lizard" (I am guessing something like an anole).
