    Two new family members....

Since things are finally starting to settle down around here, I decided to treat myself to a present These two should be coming down from Canada once the weather cools down (it is going to hit the 90s in New York on Monday and alot worse elsewhere).

They are both coastal carpet pythons from the Jaguar bloodline and are coming in from The Urban Python out of Canada. Those guys have taken great care of me so far, so I am thrilled that my first 'international' purchase is going so well.....and these snakes are freakin' cool IMO...

Here is the male. He is soooo cool looking!

    Here is the female.

I think the genetics of carpets is interesting. These are Jaguar siblings, so they have a completely different look than regular coastal carpets.

This is my first shot at Morelia, so I will let you know how they do Vaughn. .....you still keep GTPs?

Sweet, costals get ABOUT 7-9' right? Good luck with them and maybe you can show us some more pics when they get there.

Yep, they do ship to the US, but only once every 3 weeks. They were great at getting the CITES paperwork squared away and everything. Actually, after talking to a few people that keep carpets, I think I may be getting some fresh blood CCPs into the US. Their male jaguar dad is direct from the original Jaguar male in Sweden and the two moms are not from the US.

Ya....around 7-9'. The two females that produced these two were between 7' -9', but I have read of females 12' before...but that is as common as a 6' ball python.
