Oh I love Maine Coons! Unfortunately our oldest son is very cat allergic (and getting worse the older he gets) so any cat let alone a furry one like that is out of the question for now. Lovely pics Sarah!

    Thanks, Joanna
Wow, that's so sad about your son's allergies.
Here's another pic of Willow, so you can really get some perspective on how huge this cat is. You are right, Maine Coons rock!

    Re: My Furkids

That is one impressive looking Coon! I've always heard they have the most amazing personalities and are somewhat doglike. Is that true? Yes it is sad with Luke's allergies. He grew up with cats and didn't seem to have any problems with them until he was about 8 to 10 years old. Now he's almost 15 and if he's around cats or even furniture that cats use a lot, he gots horribly itchy red eyes and feels rotten. When our two aged cats passed away within the past couple of years we just knew we couldn't get any more...it's just not fair to have Luke on allergy meds if they can be avoided.

    Re: My Furkids

I definitely agree with you on the allergy meds. My best friend is allergic, so she has to pop a pill in order to visit my house. They make her downright loopy, and she still gets some symptoms.

Hmmm, I'm not sure if I would say Willow is dog-like, but he's definitely different from all the normal cats I've ever had. He has to investigate everyone that comes in the house, and then he insists they pet him until he drools on everything. He's also an escape artist, we have to watch him closely when opening any doors. And SMART! You can actually see him thinking, it's wierd.
So I guess that does describe a dog, in some ways! haha
The cutest thing is that most Coons get enormous, but then they have the quietest meow. He looks like a lion and sounds like a mouse.

    Thanks, Cassandra!

Whenever I take Willow to the vet's office, every single person working there comes into the exam room to pet him. He eats.it.up.

Awwww, very cute kitties! We have 4, they're our furkids too. I swear, I'd have 10 cats if I could. I adore them. <3

I really hope Zoe doesn't develop cat allergies. I would be so heartbroken, and so would she.
